Graveyard Keeper 2 Pre-Order Checklist

This is the practical twin of the pre-order article. That page explains the Sauna and the outfit. This page is the order of operations. Print it, screenshot it, or ignore it and accidentally buy Epic on a PS5 night. All steps assume Graveyard Keeper 2 is still upcoming for September 22, 2026.

1. Pick one hardware target

Open platforms and circle one: Steam PC, Epic PC, GOG PC, PS5, Xbox Series, Switch, or Switch 2. The Grand Inquisitor outfit is platform-specific. Two circles means two outfits in fantasy and one missing Sauna in practice.

If the circle is PC, pass through system requirements. DirectX 12, 4 GB RAM floor, GT 640 / HD 7750 / Iris Pro 580 as named GPUs. If you fail the floor, change the circle to a console instead of arguing with dxdiag.

2. Confirm the live price tile

Steam’s pre-purchase window has been $24.99 minus 20% = $19.99, ending September 22. Console stores run their own badges. Do not quote this wiki at a cashier. Quote the store.

Regional currencies differ (our API dump even showed a CNY price). VAT, taxes, and publisher weekend sales can move. The checklist item is “I looked at the tile today,” not “I memorized $19.99 forever.”

3. Confirm the bonus SKU

Official bonuses: Sauna building + Inquisitor outfit. Nintendo’s eShop already showed a separate pre-order bonus DLC row on Switch 2. If your store has a second tile, add that tile to the cart, not only the base game. If your store bundles them silently, still open the DLC list after purchase and screenshot it.

4. Account hygiene

• You are logged into the account you actually play, not a leftover publisher preview account
• Family Sharing / console family groups: read current vendor rules; bonuses often stick to the purchaser
• Grey-market keys: skip them for a date-tied cosmetic
• Refund windows: know Steam’s two-hour / fourteen-day rule or your console’s equivalent before launch weekend rage

5. Calendar and pre-load

Add 22 September 2026 with a store link. PC footprint is ~2 GB; Switch 2 digital estimated ~780 MB. Pre-load when the button exists. A small download still hurts at 00:01 if the whole queue wakes up.

Exact hour: see release date. Do not trust a Discord countdown bot.

6. Optional homework (not required)

• Install or reinstall Graveyard Keeper 1 if you want the joke to land. Not a save prerequisite.
• Watch the homepage trailer and the Getting Started HUD notes so unlock night is not “where is the hotbar.”
• Read preview if you are still on the fence. It is cheaper to wait than to refund.

7. Launch-morning five minutes

1. Update the store client.
2. Confirm the bonus DLC is installed, not just owned.
3. Open settings: subtitles, voice volume (skull), camera, controller.
4. Screenshot the title screen build number for updates.
5. Play the Garden and one grave before you place the Sauna in a doorway.

8. After you are in

Follow the first-week order on Getting Started: graves, tech tree, one machine line, then Town. Put the Sauna down when you understand pathing (automation). Wear the outfit whenever; it does not bury anyone for you.
